It's Cold Outside - Daily Photo 21/365

It's not supposed to be so cold here, honest, it's supposed to get nippy, maybe a few snow flurries but not this...snow that we have to measure in inches, schools closed (at this rate the kids will still be going to school in July!), grocery stores unable to keep the shelves stocked with milk & eggs, drivers using their vehicles like sleds, and spending our retirement to heat the house.  Poor pitiful me.

At least the sun was shining today so no external flash was required, not even for fill.
Several icicles were hanging off the mailbox, and they weren't melting, even in the sunshine.

For some reason the snow doesn't really stick to the branches of our weeping mulberry tree but this provides an interesting contrast of color and texture between the snow & the tree.

Dee, I am amazed at how similar your and my choices are for photo subjects. Maybe that's why I like so many of your photos...hmmm. Seriously, you know how to bring interest to your audience through the lens. Can't wait to go on a shoot with you.
