Out & About - Daily Photo 63/365

Today I just started driving, looking for a place that I haven't used for my photography.  It was rather nice,  I only saw a couple other people and less than half a dozen vehicles.  That meant I could park on the side of the road when I saw something that caught my fancy.

This tree must have been uprooted ages ago because the roots themselves are disappearing.

Cactus?!  In Tennessee?! In the winter?!  Does anyone out there know anything about this?
